Cory received his bachelors degree in 2014 from Cornell University's Department of Applied and Engineering Physics. He then joined UCSB's Department of Mechanical Engineering as a PhD student in the fall of 2015. Working under Igor Mezic, his main areas of application/expertise lie in machine learning and data analysis algorithms. In particular, Cory is interested in unsupervised methods that are motivated by the operator theoretic spectral methods from dynamical systems. His main areas of application have been in combustion chemistry, energy efficiency, and multibody motion tracking.
